Dubai Basketball was founded on Abdulla’s vision to build a homegrown team capable of competing on the international stage alongside the world’s best. From the outset, the ambition was clear: bring elite global competition to Dubai and establish the city as a force in professional basketball.
In its inaugural season, Dubai Basketball made an immediate statement—becoming the first homegrown team to compete in the ABA League, one of Europe’s premier competitions. The momentum only grew. In 2025, the club took the next step, earning its place in the EuroLeague and stepping onto the biggest stage in European basketball—cementing its arrival among the elite.
